On the 23rd of February 1981, Spain's fragile new democracy faced its toughest challenge. Two hundred civil guards led by Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Tejero stormed into the Deputies' Congress, taking everyone inside hostage for over eighteen hours in an attempted coup de etat. I built an interactive timeline of the 23-F, detailing the events that took place and the key figures involved, combining archival sound and video recordings with original assets and materials created in Quixel Mixer.
